By far the most important factor in building a truly effective long-range rifle is its shootability. This is something that is most relatable to a musical instrument. Not every violin is a Stratovarius. True shootability depends on a few factors. Ergonomics, weight distribution, accuracy and harmonic stability.
Ergonomics: You'll first appreciate the fully-adjustable chassis which custom fits the individual shooter when you get behind one of our rifles. Comb height, comb cant, length of pull and grip geometry must be perfect.
Weight distribution: This is determined primarily by barrel length, barrel mass and chassis geometry. Our rifles are designed to be fired from tripods and bipods in the prone, sitting and standing positions. By positioning our bipod or tripod interface ideally relative to its barrel and chassis center of gravity we create shooter symmetry. Using a full-length Swiss-ARCA type dovetail system we can tailor the fit to match the rifle's demands.
Accuracy: A rifle's accuracy comes from its barrel. No amount of time spent at the loading bench or money spent on loaded ammunition will change this. Our barrels start out as single-point cut-rifled and dimensionally perfect. Starting with perfect barrels, we index each bore concentrically perfect in our lathe and hand fit each barrel tenon perfectly to its receiver. Once the barrel and receiver are perfectly mated, we use extremely sharp, custom-made chamber reamers to cut the chamber to the minimum dimension within a thousandth of an inch. (Far less than the thickness of a human hair) After this the muzzle is indexed perfectly with no runout either axially or radially, and a precision crown is cut along with a perfectly concentric muzzle thread to the bore.
Harmonic Stability: Perhaps the most important factor. Harmonic stability results in an honest rifle. (period) No first round fliers. No flyers due to inconsistent form. No flyers resulted from bipod-shooting surface variabilities. The initial thing you'll notice is a rifle that feels solid when it goes bang. A very soft recoil impulse with almost no residual harmonics. The recoil ends as soon as it begins. Think of it as a deadened "thud". We achieve this remarkable harmonic stability through the interplay of several factors. Material choice for components. Mass, both greater and lesser in the critical allocations. And with our proprietary high-nickel-bronze tunable mass-damper muzzle brakes. We leave nothing on the table.
What you can expect: A rifle that is easy to shoot long-range, super-accurate, a perfect fit, and a sensory joy to shoot.
